Plasmas, Politics & Panic
I’m writing this morning’s Trust Fun with an extra pep in my step. A lot to celebrate on this brisk, fall (?) morning.
It’s 56 degrees right now in Manhattan (tho it will be 77 later today). Hoodie and Mugsy jeans weather is upon us.
We just had our first NFL Sunday & the New England Patriots are undefeated.
The new West Village office is coming along nicely. I think the TV I bought is slightly too small but if I stand close enough, it honestly feels like a plasma screen. “I love this tv.”- Michael Scott (& Cael Schwartz)

Lastly, the brand is growing. A bunch of my favorite SAAS bros hopped on a zoom call together last Friday to talk about god knows what (as SAAS bros do), and boom! They all were repping TFB hats.
Cop yours here. Not too many left. —> https://www.trustfun.com/products/trust-fun-baby-hat
Keep ‘em coming folks. LOVE to see it.
Welcome to week 47. Grab a pumpkin spice latte & a cider donut and say it with me:
WELCOME TO…
Thanks, Scott.
Now, let’s talk about the macroeconomic environment of media right now. Lol. But seriously.
The cost of marketing remains insanely high. Those election campaign dollars are really harshing the mellow of all of us DTC brands trying to sell our stuff online.
I mean, just look at the CPMs increase we saw in 2020 on Meta during the past election…
A rise from $8 to about $15 in a matter of a couple months. And then, factor in this…
CPMs nearly doubled during the 2020 election on Meta, & in 2024, election spend is going to increase by nearly 30%. Take that in. Take a breath. Hug your ad buyer. Buckle up, tighten the belt. We’ll get through this.
My advice? Focus on retention. Focus on email.
What is saving folks right now is Revenue Roll’s new domain health tech. Michael, my buddy & founder/CEO of Revenue Roll is unleashing a new power tool that will become a STAPLE (calling my shot) for all brands in the next 12 months.
The Revenue Roll domain warming tool is next up, as the kids say. They create subdomains under your main sending domain and send seed emails back and forth from those subs. This generates a ton of positive engagement (opens, clicks, etc) and improves the key metrics (open rate, CTR, spam rate, etc) for you main sending domain. This tips the scales in your favor and drastically elevates your domain health to get you back in the inbox.
I mean, look what’s happening to domain reputation so far for folks using RR:
Listen, the odds are against you & there’s literally no room for error when it comes to sending emails. If you’re getting marked spam any more than 3/1000 emails, you’re basically fucked. But, don’t panic.
Revenue Roll not only can fix this, they can bring your health to a whole new level.
This is a new tool that they’re only offering to a few people, luckily he likes me & is down to work with some Trust Fun readers. If you send emails, I’d recommend talking to Michael & team ASAP. You don’t even know what you’re missing. You can sign up here to chat to him.
That’s all she wrote today (literally). This is a big week. I have SO much to do. Thanks for reading.
