Trust Fun is brought to you by Tie
Big news in the world of identity resolution: Revenue Roll is now Tie.
Same team, same mission—now with a sharper name and even smarter tech.
Tie isn’t just a rebrand. It’s a full-blown glow-up.
Their new identity graph maps 280M+ U.S. consumers using 400+ attributes to help brands stop guessing and start sending smarter.
Think: fewer blasts, more bangers.
With Tie, marketers finally get full control of who they target—and why.
No more playing the volume game. Just high-intent, high-fit, predictive magic that turns anonymous clicks into real outcomes.
If you’re in the business of retention, this is your new secret weapon.
We’re sold out. Again.
Show #3 is TONIGHT night in Manhattan. Third time’s the charm, third time’s a packed house. Here’s where you can no longer buy tickets (maybe I added a few last minute tickets…)
If you’re new here: Steam Room Etiquette is an improv comedy group I started with my friend Vincent last November. And it’s been one of the most unexpectedly fulfilling projects of my life.
Here’s how it started:
NYC improv felt broken. Too many rules. Too much cringe. Not enough fun.
So we said screw it, and started our own thing.
We asked friends. Friends of friends. Strangers. Anyone who’d ever shouted “Yes, and” unironically.
That turned into rehearsals. Then a show. Then another. Then another.
Then a name, a logo, a Shopify site (duh), and a lot of laughter.
We’ve now sold out three shows straight. No agents. No industry clout. Just word of mouth, good people, and the belief that improv is supposed to be dumb and free and weird and funny.
Moral of the story: sometimes the best stuff in life starts when you stop waiting for permission and just go.
Now… Let’s talk about summer. Cuz it’s here. And it’s hot.
Ever since entering the workforce, I’ve found summer to be the hardest time of year to stay productive. And I don’t think it’s just me.
For ~22 years, we’re trained—deep in our bones—that summer means freedom. No school. No assignments. Then you turn 23 and suddenly you’re supposed to treat June like February? Impossible.
The weather hits, the group chats pop off, someone texts “9 holes after work?” and your brain turns to poolside pudding. And yet—we still feel guilty. Like we should be locked into our screens for 9 straight hours while the world tans without us.
Here’s my approach now: embrace the season. Don’t fight the sun—ride it.
Let summer work with you, not against you. Say yes more. Get outside. Take the Friday 2PM train. Go to the concert. Play early morning golf. Keep your joy tank full. I know I will be.

Because here’s the crazy part: having more fun actually makes you more productive. Here’s the part you show to your boss:
Studies back this up. Psychologists call it the “broadening effect.” Positive emotions—like joy, amusement, play—literally expand your brain’s ability to think creatively and solve problems.
One 2021 study found that employees with more “leisure satisfaction” had higher job performance and lower burnout.
Another from Harvard Business Review showed that when people felt mentally replenished by leisure, their output and work satisfaction surged.
So yeah. The more full your life is, the better your work can be.
That golf round? It’s ROI positive.
That beach day? Strategic alignment with your long-term mental capital.
You don’t need to choose between having fun and doing great work.
You just need to give yourself permission to do both.
Stay cool everyone.
